A man was killed by a mob in Bondo, Siaya County after he was allegedly caught stealing from a shop.
According to Nyawita Assistant Chief Ayub Ogola, the suspect was rounded up by the mob at Sinapanga Estate in Bondo.
Moreover, the unidentified man broke into one of the shops early Monday, August 29 but was caught in the act by the shop owner.
“The owner of the shop raised the alarm. Members of the public responded to the distress call and cornered the suspect before subjecting him to mob justice,” Ogola reported.
The area residents descended on the suspect with kicks and blows as others hit him with crude weapons, leaving him for the dead.

Nonetheless, the body has been moved to Bondo Hospital Mortuary.
