Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o is set to feature in a theatre show together with her younger brother Junior Nyong’o as twins.
Taking to her Instagram account, Lupita expressed her thrill in anticipation of the theatre show titled ‘Twelfth Night’ which is set to take place from August 7, 2025, to September 24, 2025.
“I am thrilled to reveal some midsummer madness to look forward to; my brother and I will take the stage as twins in ‘Twelfth Night’. Meet Viola and Sebastian. I can genuinely say that we have been preparing for these roles all our lives,” stated Lupita.
Junior Nyong’o graduates with Master’s in fine arts
Junior Nyong’o is a recent graduate of the University of California where he graduated with a master’s degree in fine arts. He has featured in several notable theatre shows including ‘Hamlet’ and the film ‘A Blossom in the Night’.

He is a renowned DJ, musician, and voice artist.
The show ‘Twelfth Night’ is courtesy of The Public Theatre’s Free Shakespeare in the Park series which is a beloved annual tradition in New York City. It entails free performances of Shakespeare’s plays at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park.

The series was introduced in 1954, and tickets are distributed at various locations in New York City. The show brings together top actors such as Lupita Nyong’o to lead in its productions.

Besides the Nyong’o siblings, other people starring in the film include Bill Camp, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Khris Davis, Lupita Nyong’o, Moses Sumney, Peter Dinklage, and Sandra Oh.
In 2014, Lupita won an Oscar award as the best supporting actor in the film ’12 Years Slave’, becoming the fast Kenyan actress to win the prestigious award. She has also won other prestigious awards for her work in films like ‘Black Panther’.
Lupita and Junior are children of the current Kisumu Governor Prof. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o and Dorothy Nyong’o.
