Tanzanians Excited as Hollywood Star Lupita Nyong’o Lands in the Country to Shoot Her Documentary

World renowned actress Lupita Nyong’o is without one of the best exports from East Africa as far as worldwide film scene is concerned.

The actress has over the years been inspiring many Africans who are looking forward to become the force to reckon with in the film world.

With that said, it is therefore everyone’s dream to at least see the actress, not to mention rubbing shoulders with her.

The Black Panther actress recently gave Tanzania and Zanzibar’s residents a rare treat after visiting and hanging out with them.

The Kenya Times has learnt the actress is currently in Zanzibar, where she is shooting content for one of her upcoming projects.

It is not yet clear if the actress is in Zanzibar to shoot a movie or her documentary but judging by videos seen by this writer on social media, it is clear she did not come to Africa to just play, rather holiday.

Lupita did not visit Zanzibar alone, The Kenya Times has learnt, as she was spotted with a camera crew shooting each and every activity.

It should be noted Lupita Nyong’o has not been updating her Instagram page for over six weeks now, therefore making it difficult for her fans and followers to know exactly what she is currently doing in Zanzibar.

Updates or not, Tanzanians and Zanzibar residents were just excited to learn she at least visited their grounds.

In a video posted on YouTube by Tanzania’s Simulizi Na Sauti, Lupita is seen diving alongside Zanzibar divers at the Forodhani beach.

Countless Tanzanians could not keep calm and thought it wise to take to different social media platforms to brag about how a worldwide star visited their country.

Quite a number of netizens from Samia’s land expressed how much they love the actress and how they would have wanted her to be one of their own, a Tanzanian.

The Kenya Times is aware Lupita Nyong’o visited her home country Kenya a couple of months ago. While in Kenya, the star shared photos of herself alongside her father Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o and other family members eating life with a big spoon.
