Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu released the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) 2023 results on Thursday, 23 November 2023.
Notably, the CS released the results after briefing President William Ruto at State House, Nairobi on Wednesday evening.

The CS further announced that the released results can both be accessed both via Short Message Service (SMS) or via the website.
How to check via SMS
Send a candidate’s index number as an SMS through a short code to 40054 to any mobile network provider in the country.
Note that each SMS will cost a maximum amount of Ksh25 Airtime.
This means that you first of all need to ensure that you have enough airtime for each text message.
To send the SMS, first open a blank text on the SMS/Message app on your phone.
Select 40054 for any network provider as the Message recipient under the ‘send to’ option.
In the text, type the full 11-digit index number, followed by the word KCPE (e.g., 09228345023KCPE).
Note that you should ensure there are no spaces between the index number and the word KCPE.
After a short while, you will receive a text from KNEC containing the Candidates details and marks for each examined subject.
How to check KCPE Results via website
On the other hand, the results can also be accessed through the official KNEC website. Here’s how to view the results via website:

Open a new webpage and visit the Official KNEC website.
On the page, locate and click on the KCPE Results tab.
Select the year the candidate sat for the exams, for example, 2023.
Next, key in your correct 11-digit index number. Finally, click the Submit button.
The candidate’s results should be displayed on the screen after a short processing time.
