Following the KUCCPS placement of students to universities for the 2026/2027 academic year, institutions across Kenya have announced reporting, registration, and orientation arrangements for newly admitted first-year students.

The universities have set different schedules for physical reporting, online registration, orientation and accommodation, with students required to follow instructions issued by their respective institutions.

New students have also been advised to check their admission letters and joining instructions for specific requirements before reporting.

Publicly available details on the dates are as follows;

Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT)

Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) has announced that hostel room booking for the 2026 first-year cohort will take place on 25 August 2025 at 12:00 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis through the university’s official hostel portal.

The university has set 1 September 2026 at 8:00 a.m. as the reporting date for first-year students joining the 2026/2027 academic year.

All first-year students are required to create a student account on the admission system and upload the relevant documents before the reporting week.

Self-sponsored students are expected to pay their fees in accordance with JKUAT’s fee payment policy during reporting.

JKUAT said details on the orientation program will be communicated to students later.

University of Nairobi (UoN) and Kenyatta University

Students placed at the University of Nairobi (UoN) through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) are expected to report on Monday, August 18.

Online registration for first-year students is scheduled to begin on August 4, while physical reporting for all Module I first-year students will take place on August 18. Hall officers will assist students with accommodation arrangements.

UoN has scheduled a two-week orientation program to help new students adjust to university life and understand the academic, welfare and social services available across its campuses.
