After a 3-week delay, Senate Speaker Amason Kingi has finally formally communicated the Azimio Coalition house leadership changes.
Consequently, in the changes, Narok counterpart Ledama Ole Kina becomes the Minority Whip to replace Isiolo Senator Fatuma Dullo .
“I have verified all the documents presented in my office and I hereby direct that the changes take effect immediately,” Kingi said.
Kingi said that he effected the changes having been satisfied that the minority side met all the set requirements and the standing orders.
“It is therefore my finding and I hereby rule that senator Fatuma Dullo has been validly removed as Senate minority whip,” Kingi said.
Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna is the new deputy Minority Whip.
The speaker also said that he was satisfied with the minutes of the minority senators that resolved to remove Dullo as well as the list of members who signed the petition to remove her

Dullo, a jubilee Senator was among 30 Jubille members who shifted their allegiance and pledged to support President William Ruto’s administration.
House Minority Leader Stewart Madzayo had in mid-February notified the Speaker’s office of the leadership changes on the minority side.
The delay in the Speaker’s Communication subsequently fuelled an acrimonious debate in the House with the members of the minority side accusing the Speaker of being partisan on the matter.
