Billionaire and businessman Sam Mburu, husband of Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika, officially unveiled the Encore Hotel in Nakuru City on June 22, one of the largest hospitality establishments in the region.
It is located in Milimani Estate, about one kilometer from Nakuru’s CBD and just off the Nakuru–Nairobi Highway.
The launch ceremony attracted several high-profile guests, including former Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter, Bahati MP Irene Njoki, Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama, Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria, Nyeri Woman Representative Rahab Mukami, and MP Oscar Sudi.
Features and Capacity of Encore Hotel Rooms
The hotel features 205 elegantly appointed guest rooms designed to meet different guest needs, ranging from deluxe rooms to executive suites and a presidential suite.
It features eight restaurants and lounges, a large swimming pool, parking for up to 300 vehicles, and a wellness centre equipped with a gym, steam rooms, saunas, and hydropools.
Each room category is equipped with modern amenities to ensure comfort, privacy, and a refined stay.
For business and social functions, the hotel offers state-of-the-art conference and meeting facilities with a capacity of up to 1,500 guests.
The hotel also includes extensive conference facilities, comprising 23 meeting rooms, a grand ballroom, and a 3,500-square-meter events garden.
These spaces are designed to accommodate corporate events, meetings, weddings, and other large gatherings.
Guests also have access to leisure and relaxation amenities during their visit.

Conferences Packages
Check-in time is 12:00 pm, while check-out is at 10:00 am. The rates are inclusive of statutory taxes.
Guests opting for lake-facing rooms will incur an additional supplement of approximately Ksh 2,500 per room, per night.
For conferences, the full-day package is priced at KES 7,500 per person per day and includes a buffet lunch, two tea or coffee breaks, writing materials, high-speed Wi-Fi, access to the conference room from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, mineral water, and use of a projector and PA system.
The half-day conference package costs Ksh7,000 per person per day and includes a buffet lunch, one tea or coffee break, access to the conference room for either a morning or an afternoon session, Wi-Fi, and basic amenities.
