The Ole Sereni Hotel began operations in 2009 and is strategically located near Nairobi National Park, offering stunning views of the savannah.
The building it occupies was previously owned by the U.S. government and served as part of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi.
Businessman Kul Bhakoo co-owns it alongside his friends Bobby Jandu of Allied Plumbers, Mso Dave Bola, a Zambian businessman, and Nazir Noobin, another entrepreneur.
Bhakoo earned money while serving as Operations Manager at Kul Graphics Limited for 19 years before venturing into the hotel business.
In 2019, Kul Graphics became one of six major Kenyan printing companies that merged to form Chrome Partners.
Bhakoo holds a master’s degree in development economics and international business from the University of Reading.
Bhakoo Career Before Founding the Ole Sereni Hotel
He also worked as Head of Business Development at Chrome Partners Kenya between September 2019 and January 2022.
Bhakoo was Chairman of the Muthaiga Golf Club for two years.
He currently serves as the Director at Double Eye Consulting Ltd, Ole Sereni, Chrome Partners, and the Academy of Graphic Technologies.
Additionally, he is a Country Director at Wakandi Kenya Ltd.

Bobby Jandu
Bobby Jandu is the Managing Director of Allied Plumbers Ltd, which is a family business.
His father, Pierra Singh Jandu, joined the family business, originally named Utham Singh Pritam Singh & Company, in 1947. He worked there until 1963 before starting his own business, Allied Plumbers Ltd.
His father and his brother, Utham Singh Jandu, founded the company in 1963, later joined by their younger brother Harjundah Singh Jandu in 1972.
Bobby joined the family business in 1980 and has since continued the legacy established by his predecessors.

Dave Bola
Dave Bola is a Zambian-born businessman who is a co-founder and co-owner of the Ole Sereni Hotel.
Bola played a vital role in the establishment and growth of the hotel, but his details are not publicly available.

Nazir Noobin
Noobin is a Kenyan entrepreneur and one of the founding partners behind the Ole Sereni Hotel.
