Nyeri County Announces 370 Internship Opportunities and 97 Jobs

Nyeri County Invites Applications For 97 Job Vacancies And 370 Internship Slots

The County Government of Nyeri, through its public service board, has announced 97 job vacancies and 370 internship opportunities across several departments for Kenyans to apply.

In a notice dated May 21, Nyeri County invited qualified individuals to apply for the advertised positions.

“The County Government of Nyeri wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions,” the statement read in part.

According to the Nyeri County notice, successful candidates will be employed on three-year contracts, while internship remuneration will be in accordance with the County Government of Nyeri Internship Policy and the Salaries and Remuneration Commission guidelines.

Additionally, applicants have been directed to submit hard-copy applications, along with academic and professional documents, to the Nyeri County Public Service Board offices before June 10, 2026, at 5:00 pm.

“All applications (hand delivered or through the post office) should be received at the Nyeri County Public Service Board Offices on or before 10th June, 2026, at 5.00 pm,” Nyeri County stated.

Nyeri County Invites Applications for 370 Interns and 97 Job Vacancies

In the notice, Nyeri County also announced 370 internship positions under the Department of County Public Service and Solid Waste Management, with details available on the county website.

The 97 job vacancies listed by Nyeri County cover sectors including agriculture, livestock, aquaculture, finance, ICT, water, legal services, health, education, and public administration.

The county also stated that remuneration for successful applicants will be guided by Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) circulars and the County Government of Nyeri Internship Policy, 2017.

According to the public service board notice, applicants are directed to submit hard copies of the duly completed employment application form, along with academic certificates, professional documents, and testimonials.

Further, it detailed that the documents should be sent or hand-delivered to:

“The County Public Service Board does not charge for recruitment; report any requests for payment,” it stated.

Requirements for Job Application

To apply for the jobs, applicants are required to submit:

  • Duly filled Employment Application Form
  • Copies of academic certificates (KCSE, Diploma, Degree, Masters where applicable)
  • Copies of professional certificates (if applicable)
  • Testimonials or supporting documents confirming qualifications and work experience

Additionally, the application from requires the following; 

  • Personal details (ID number, PIN, contacts, disability status)
  • Academic qualifications (listed from highest to lowest level)
  • Professional certifications and training undertaken
  • Employment history and current job information
  • Skills, experience, and key achievements
  • Referees (minimum of two)
Internship Application

For interns, applicants must provide:

  • Duly filled Internship Application Form
  • Copy of National ID (ID number must also be indicated in the form)
  • Copy of KRA PIN certificate
  • Academic certificates or results (KCSE, college or university documents)

The application form captures:

  • Personal details (name, date of birth, contacts, and location)
  • Educational background and qualifications
  • Preferred area of internship placement
  • Disability status (if applicable)
