St. Andrew’s Turi is Hiring Teachers; Students Pay Up to Ksh800,000 Fees

St. Andrew’s Turi School in Kenya has announced several vacancies for teachers and department heads. 

According to a notice on January 16, the school seeks to recruit experienced and qualified professionals for September 2026.

The Senior School is recruiting for the positions of Head of Psychology, Teacher of Mathematics, Teacher of Spanish, and Teacher of Chemistry.

“The School is seeking to recruit experienced qualified professionals for the positions below for September 2026,” read part of the notice.

At the same time, the Preparatory School is seeking to fill the roles of Head Academic, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator, and Head of English. Interested candidates are invited to apply for these positions in preparation for the new academic year.

The application deadlines vary for each job position.

St. Andrew’s Turi is a renowned school across the country, known for its excellent educational standards and facilities. The high-end private school charges school fees ranging from Ksh800,000 to Ksh1 million for full boarders.

St. Andrew’s Turi is located in Molo in Nakuru County. The school was founded by Peter and Jean Lavers (fondly referred to as Ma and Pa) in 1931.

It is a leading independent international School Christian boarding School in Kenya offering British Curriculum to students aged five (5) to Eighteen (18).

General Qualities and Attributes

The successful candidate should have experience delivering the Psychology curriculum and assessment materials, strong personal integrity, and a deep alignment with the School’s Christian ethos.

They should demonstrate empathy, professionalism, excellent data analysis skills, and the ability to use information to improve student outcomes.

High literacy and numeracy, IT proficiency, attention to detail, strong communication, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure are also essential.

How to Apply for St. Andrew’s Turi teaching jobs 

Applications should be submitted via the school website: standrewsturl.com/workingatTuri/careeropportunitles/ (St. Andrews Turi Career Opportunities) and must include: a completed application form, updated CV, and a brief cover letter.  

The completed form should be downloaded from the schools website and correctly filled with accurate information about yourself.

If your application is successful, the school will contact you within three working days of the closing date. Early applications are encouraged.

Application Deadlines

According to the management of St. Andrew’s Turi, the deadline for Head of Psychology applications is 8:00 a.m. (GMT) on Monday, 26 January 2026.

Preliminary interviews will take place during the week commencing Monday, January 26, 2026, and will be conducted online.

Final interviews are scheduled for the week commencing Monday, February 2, 2026.

Applications for the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator and Head of English positions must be submitted by 16 January 2026.

Online interviews will be held on 22 and 23 January 2026. Final interviews at St. Andrew’s will take place on 29 and 30 January 2026.

Applications for the Teacher of Mathematics position must be submitted by 8:00 a.m. (EAT) on Monday, 2 February 2026.

Preliminary interviews will take place during the week commencing Monday, 2 February 2026, and will be conducted online. Final interviews are scheduled for the week commencing Monday, February 9, 2026.

The successful candidate is expected to start on September 1, 2026.

Applications for the Teacher of Spanish position must be submitted by 8:00 a.m. (EAT) on Monday, 19 January 2026.

Preliminary interviews will be held during the week commencing Monday, 19 January 2026, and will be conducted online.

Final interviews are scheduled for the week commencing Monday, 26 January 2026. The successful candidates are expected to join St. Andrew’s Turi as staff on 1 September 2026.
