For Kenyan businesses aiming to expand into international markets, the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) has introduced the Make It Kenya ePortal, a powerful tool and free online platform that connects local sellers with global buyers.
The initiative, launched by KEPROBA, allows registered sellers to showcase their “Made in Kenya” products on a centralized platform accessible to international buyers seeking authentic Kenyan goods.
The registration process is simple but thorough, ensuring that only legitimate businesses are listed. To register, sellers need to provide:
- National ID or Passport for business representatives, including their phone and email contacts.
- Company Profile, including basic company information, the year of establishment, and the number of employees.
- Certificate of Incorporation or Registration to prove legal business existence.
- KRA PIN Certificate as confirmation of tax compliance.
- Relevant Regulatory Certificates are required if the business operates in a regulated sector.
Once the information is submitted, it undergoes a review by KEPROBA.
