Allan Chesang is the current Senator for Trans-Nzoia County in Kenya, serving his first term since August 2022.
He is the Chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) and a member of the Senate Liaison Committee as well as the Committee on Lands, Environment and Natural Resources.
Before joining the Senate, he was the CEO of Transcentury Global and Uplift Group of Companies and is the founder and chairman of the Allan Chesang Foundation, which focuses on community development, including education and water access initiatives.

Chesang attended Kitale Academy for primary school, sitting for his KCPE in 2002.
He proceeded to St. Anthony Boys High School, Kitale, and then Musingu High School in Kakamega, completing his KCSE by 2007.
Later, he studied at Moi University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management (Purchasing and Supply) in 2012.
He also holds professional certifications: Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and he is pursuing a Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree.
Career Background
After university, Chesang entered business and philanthropy.
He served as CEO of Uplift Group of Companies from about 2015 onward and founded the Allan Chesang Foundation in 2016.

Allan Chesang was also appointed Patron to the Kenya University Student Association starting circa 2020.
Chesang was elected Senator for Trans-Nzoia County under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket in 2022.
In the Senate, he chairs the Standing Committee on Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), and is a member of the Agriculture and Livestock Committee.
He has sponsored at least one bill (Real Estate Regulation Bill, SB No. 35 of 2023).
