Kenyans have a new opportunity to work abroad as riders in Dubai, with salaries starting from Ksh88,000 per month. Labour Cabinet Secretary (CS) Alfred Mutua made the announcement on Thursday, September 10, 2025..
This comes ahead of recruitment interviews scheduled for September 11th to 13th.
According to the notice, the jobs are open to male riders aged between 21 and 38 years.
Applicants must demonstrate strong motorbike riding skills, a command of English, and the ability to use Google Maps for navigation.
“Are you ready to take your career global? We are recruiting Male Riders to work in Dubai,” Alfred Mutua stated in the announcement.

Salary and How to Apply
Successful candidates will earn between AED 2,100 and AED 2,500 per month (approximately Ksh88,000 – Ksh105,000) once they obtain a UAE driving license and report for duty.
Further, an alternative payment option of AED 7.5 per delivery is also available, making the opportunity attractive.
“Salary package applicable upon obtaining a UAE driving license and joining duty,” noted the official announcement.
The government has urged interested applicants to prepare early, meet the requirements, and seize the opportunity.
To apply, interested applicants are advised to present themselves for interviews at NITA Athi River on the stated dates.
Additionally, they should carry valid identification documents such as a national ID or passport.
The CS also asked interested candidates to be prepared for a practical riding test to demonstrate competency, and ensure they meet all requirements before attending, including age, gender, and language proficiency.
CS Mutua explained that interviews will run from 8am to 5pm each day, and candidates have been encouraged to attend with confidence.
A practical riding test will form part of the interview.
“Come ready to showcase your riding skills. This could be your chance to change your story,” he added.

CS Mutua and Fake Jobs Scandals
By July 2025, at least 84 complaints had been lodged with a government task force over suspected fake recruitment schemes that had already swindled Kenyans in 15 counties out of more than Ksh17.3 million.
Created to curb rising cases of fake job offers abroad, the Multi-Agency Labour Mobility Task Force is still investigating scams linked to countries such as Canada, Qatar, Australia, and Germany.
While answering questions on the scams before a Senate committee, CS Mutua said more victims were coming forward, many of whom were promised lucrative jobs only to be left broke, stranded, or without travel documents.
“Unscrupulous individuals posing as licensed agents are conning Kenyans. We will arrest, prosecute and deregister them. Kenyans deserve safe and dignified labour migration,” he said.
The task force includes Labour PS Shadrack Mwadime, DCI boss Mohamed Amin, and ODPP secretary Alloys Kemo
