Amber Ray is a prominent Kenyan socialite, influencer, businessperson, and fashion consultant from the Kamba tribe who maintains a strong online presence through her social media platforms.

Her popularity on the internet began as an act of cyberbullying in the early 2010s, which she turned into lifestyle content.

Following the bullying in the Kilimani Mums Facebook group, Amber Ray deactivated her online accounts and eventually grew on Instagram through lifestyle content.

“I never wanted to be famous; people just love my lifestyle,” Amber stated during The Trend Interview in response to her online growth and cyberbullying.

Early Life and Educational Background

Faith Makau, alias Amber Ray, was born on November 3, 1992, in Machakos County, with public information about her early education limited.

However, during her secondary education, she attended Kinyui Girls Secondary School, from which she was expelled for sneaking out.

Career and Achievements

Amber Ray’s professional ascent began in the early 2010s as a model and lifestyle photographer, on online platforms including Instagram, where she showcased her fashion sense and lifestyle.

In a group called the Kilimani Mums on Facebook, Amber became a victim of cyberbullying that initially turned into the spotlight, and hence gained a mass following after briefly deactivating her accounts and coming back later.

As a full-time influencer, Amber has secured lucrative brand endorsements, YouTube ad revenue, and collaborations.

Through her skills in the online space, Amber has evolved into a fashion consultant and entrepreneur with ventures in beauty and lifestyle products.

With her massive following, Amber Ray has been recognized as one of Kenya’s prominent celebrities through savvy monetization.

Additionally, she had maintained a high-profile media presence, including NTV interviews in which she discussed her unintended fame and life in the public eye.

Further, Amber has positioned herself as a self-taught expert in digital marketing and personal branding, earning awards for fashion influence and a stable net worth.

Amber Ray’s Family

Amber Ray is a mother of two children, including her son Gavin, whom she frequently features in her social media posts and instills virtues in him to help him become a better man in the future.

“One thing I know is, if my son grows up to think I come before his wife, then I have failed as a mother,” Amber stated in her Instagram post, referring to her parenting method with her son Gavin.

Amber also has a daughter, Africanah Rapudo, who is often called Africana.

Amber shares her life with Kennedy Rapudo, and often the couple is praised online for their glamour and openness.

Further, Amber has a sister, Ellah Ray, whom she at times refers to as Judy, and is one of the few family members she publicly acknowledges.

Her history of high-profile relationships with influential men often provokes controversy.

Despite the public opinions, Amber, together with her long-term partner Rapudo, has maintained a power couple status.
