George Macharia Kariuki, also known as GK, is a Kenyan politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Ndia Constituency in Kirinyaga County.
He has been in this position since August 31, 2017, representing the Jubilee Party.
Professionally, he has worked in insurance sales and has been involved in business ventures such as Aberdare Spa, Safari Lodge, and Green Dairy Limited.

GK Kariuki completed his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education at Kianyaga High School between 1990 and 1993.
He then earned a Bachelor of Counselling and Psychology from Egerton University, studying from 1995 to 1999.
Advancing his professional qualifications, he obtained a Certificate of Proficiency from the College of Insurance from 2007 to 2008 and followed that with a Higher Diploma in Psychology Counselling from Kenya Methodist University, completed from 2008 to 2009.
He further advanced his studies by achieving a Master of Science in Public Policy Management from Strathmore University, finishing in 2021.
Career Background
Kariuki began his career in community and private sector roles. In 2002, he served as a Church Worker/Ministry Coordinator with Christian Church International.
He then launched Computer Bazaar, a venture in computer hardware and software, between 2002 and 2007.
In 2007, he transitioned into finance as a Financial Advisor (Insurance Sales Agent) at Britam, serving until 2013.

He then moved into agribusiness, working as Director of Green Dairy Limited from 2011 to 2015, before taking on leadership as Managing Director of Aberdare Spa and Safari Lodge starting in 2015.
In 2017, Kariuki entered elective politics and was elected Member of Parliament for Ndia Constituency, a role he continues to hold following re-election in 2022 under the UDA banner.
Within Parliament, he served as Vice Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Communication, Information and Innovation starting in 2017, and has also served on the National Government Constituency Development Fund Committee from 2021 onward.
