Joseph Makilap Kipkoros is a Kenyan politician currently serving as a Member of the National Assembly for Baringo North Constituency since August 2022.
He is a member of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
Before entering Parliament, he worked as a teacher under the Teachers Service Commission (2000-2010) and previously served as Chairman of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Baringo Branch.

Joseph Makilap Kipkoros completed his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) at Bartabwa Primary School in 1989.
He then attended Sacho High School for his secondary school studies between 1990 and 1993.
Later, he joined the Kagumo Teachers Training College (TTC) from 1997 to 2000, where he obtained a Diploma in Education Science.
He then earned his Bachelor of Education (Double Mathematics) from Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), studying between 2003 and 2006.

Joseph Makilap began his professional career as a Teacher under the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) from 2000 to 2010.

He then served as Chairman of the KNUT Baringo Branch from 2006 to 2010 before taking a role as District Staffing Officer at the TSC Secretariat between 2011 and 2012.
Later, he ventured into politics and was elected as a Member of County Assembly (MCA) in Baringo County Government, where he served from 2013 to 2017, followed by appointment as Director at NOREB (North Rift Economic Block) from 2019 to 2022.
In the August 2022 general election, Makilap was elected Member of Parliament for Baringo North Constituency on a UDA ticket.
