Koki Muli is a renowned Kenyan election expert, known for her significant contributions to electoral processes.

Koki graduated with a Bachelor of Law from the University of Nairobi, and her desire to deepen her legal knowledge led her to enrol at the Kenya School of Law.

She has over 30 years of experience in training as a civic educator, democracy, governance, and human rights.
Additionally, she has expertise in strategic leadership, electoral processes, and constitution-making processes in Kenya.
Recently, she was appointed to the nine-member selection panel for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
She is currently the Senior Lecturer and Dean at Southern Eastern Kenya University (SEKU).
In addition, in 2012, she was appointed as an Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In 2011, she was head of the Rule of law at the United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) where she provided advice and contributed to the capacity-building policy in governance.
In her early years, she participated as a reporter in the Nairobi Law Monthly magazine as a writer, reporter, and editor.

Achievements
In 1992, she joined the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ), which established the first election observation unit in Kenya.
While working at the Institute for Education in Democracy (IED), she advocated for voter registration and education, especially for the youth under a popular campaign called “Vijana Tugutuke.”
Additionally, she recently was honoured with a prestigious award as Corporate Secretary of the Year at Southern Eastern Kenya University (SEKU).
