Patrick Osero is a Kenyan politician and businessman currently serving as the Member of Parliament for Borabu Constituency.
He was elected in 2022 under the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
Earlier on, Patrick Osero had unsuccessfully vied for the seat of Borabu member of parliament in two consecutive terms.
Educational background of Patrick Osero
His educational journey began at St. Mary’s Mosocho Primary School from 1973 to 1975, followed by Cardinal Otunga High School, where he completed his Kenya Certificate of Education in 1979.
He then attended Meru High School to pursue his Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education, completing it in 1982.
Patrick Osero earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton between 1982 and 1986.
Later, he pursued a Master of Science degree in Entrepreneurship from Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology, completing it in 2007.
Career life
Patrick Osero started his career as a Farm Manager at the Agricultural Development Corporation from 1986 to 1991.
He later served as Chairman of the Agricultural Development Corporation from 2014 to 2016 and subsequently as Chairman of the Tourism Finance Corporation from 2016 to 2017.
Before entering politics, he was also recognised as a businessman, owning hotels and engaging in land dealings in Nairobi.
Politically, Osero vied unsuccessfully for the Borabu parliamentary seat in 2007 and 2013.
After these attempts, he finally succeeded in the 2022 elections.
He is known for his close association with Deputy President William Ruto, dating back to their early involvement in Youth for Kanu 1992.
