Marion Naipei is a Kenyan content creator who rose to public attention after her personal videos were leaked on the social media.
During an interview on the Obinna Show, Marion clarified that she is from Kajiado, not Nanyuki, as many people had claimed.
She further noted that she has been facing backlash from the public over her controversial lifestyle and past choices.
In addition, she clarified that, from her online interactions, she has experienced negativity from the public condemning her. Still, she argued that she can only watch them, as it is beyond her.
“People abuse me in the comment section every day. What else can I do? It is beyond me; they are people, and you can not control what people say about you,” Marion stated during the Obinna Show interview.
Early Life and Educational Background
Marion Naipei was born in Kajiado. Details of her primary education are not publicly disclosed.
She later joined Kaharu Girls in Murang’a before dropping out of school in Form Three.
At 17, Marion got pregnant with her son, whom she delivered at Sukos Hospital through a C-section, and got married in Narok to a 23-year-old man due to problems at home between her and her stepmother.
However, the marriage did not last, as her mother-in-law rejected her and her son, citing her as not financially fit to be her son’s wife.
Following the failed marriage at the age of 18 with her 5-month-old son, Marion started her own business hawking porridge, tea, soft drinks, chapati, and mandazi in Suswa town.
To continue her business, Marion used to pay KSh 100 to a wheelbarrow rider to help her carry her goods to the marketplace for sale.
Despite the challenges of making sales with her young son, she was managing to pay her bills and maintain her life and her kids’.
During this time, she lived in a single room, paying KSh 1,500 in rent every month.

After her business failed, Marion was employed in a hotel where the owner paid her KSh 500 in a single day and laid out a mattress at the hotel’s counter for her and her child to sleep on.
After some months of hustling, Marion got a call from her former student friend, marking the start of her transition to Nairobi.
According to Marion, her friend sent her transportation fare to Nairobi, and she only packed a few personal items for herself and her son, and lived with her for about two weeks in Mwihoko.
