Michael Muchira Mwangi is a Kenyan politician and the current Member of Parliament for Ol Jorok Constituency in Nyandarua County under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Early Life & Education
Michael Mwangi Muchira’s early background remains relatively private, though details of his academic journey are well documented.
He attended Njabini High School from 1996 to 2000, where he successfully completed his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Driven by an interest in economics, management, and public service, he enrolled at the University of Nairobi, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Land Economics.

Shortly after graduating from the University of Nairobi, Muchira joined Venmic Consultants in 2006 as a Valuer and Property Manager, a role he held until 2008.
During this time, he was responsible for property valuation, management, and advisory services, laying a strong foundation for his career in real estate and project management.
In 2008, Muchira transitioned to the Kenya Railways Retirement Benefits Scheme, where he took up the position of Estates Manager.
He served in this capacity for eight years, until 2016, overseeing the management and development of properties under the scheme.
Political career
Muchira’s entry into elective politics came during the 2017 General Election, where he successfully contested for the parliamentary seat under the Jubilee Party.

During his first term, Muchira served as a member of two key parliamentary committees: the Departmental Committee on Labour and Social Welfare and the Public Accounts Committee.

In the 2022 General Election, Muchira sought re-election, this time under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), a key party in President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
