Wario Guyo was elected in the Kenyan parliament in the 2022 general elections as the Member of Parliament representing North Horr in Marsabit County on the Kenya African National Union (KANU) party ticket.
Before joining politics, Hon. Guyo was known for his humanitarian efforts, particularly in mobilising resources to mitigate the effects of drought in the pastoralist communities of North Horr.
He has been instrumental in drilling boreholes and providing essential services to the community.

Career life
From 1996 to 2011, Wario Guyo worked with the Pastoralist Integrated Support Programme (PISP), which was a non-governmental organisation in Kenya. He was the Project manager of the organisation.
In the year 2011, he was an accompanier in the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD) in South Sudan.
Additionally, he was the project officer of CORDAID, an NGO in Kenya that collaborates with local communities, civil society organisations, the private sector, and government agencies to strengthen resilience and improve livelihoods
Wario Guyo joined the Pastoralist Community Initiative and Development Assistance (PACIDA) – Regional NGO in Kenya, where she was the programme director in Kenya from the year 2012 to 2020.
Later, he served as the country representative in Ethiopia for Pastoralist Community Initiative and Development Assistance (PACIDA) – an NGO in Ethiopia, up to 2022, where he was elected as North Horr’s Member of Parliament.
