Former Chief Justice David Maraga has unveiled a team of seven volunteers who will serve as the frontline in receiving and responding to public feedback, part of a broader strategy to strengthen communication with voters ahead of the general election.
In a statement released on July 28, Maraga launched a suite of official social media channels to enhance transparency and grassroots engagement.
The campaign now has verified accounts on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, all dedicated to providing real-time updates on political activities, media appearances, fundraising initiatives, and mobilization efforts.
Former Chief Justice David Maraga, running under the banner “Reset, Restore, Rebuild,” stated the importance of citizen participation in shaping the campaign’s direction.
“We shall continue to listen to your input, as we build robust systems together that will ensure a certain path towards the Kenya of our courageous dreams,” the statement read.

The newly formed volunteer team includes Carolyne Kiarie, Gloria Michira, Lewis Ngunyi, Nyamisa Chelagat, Shallet Kutment, Shakira Wafula, and Susan Lumumba.

They will be reachable directly via campaign phone lines (+254 746 900 027 or 0710 479 170) to gather feedback and foster community dialogue.
The statement further praised the group for stepping up, calling their efforts a reflection of the grassroots energy propelling the campaign. “Powered by your energy and enthusiasm, we are ready for the journey ahead,” the campaign said.
Maraga’s personal Twitter account, @dkmaraga, will remain the primary source of direct messages from the former CJ himself, while @DavidMaraga27 will cover broader campaign activities.

Leaders He is Willing to Work With
On 18 June, Maraga declared his openness to work with leaders who share his vision for a reformed Kenya.

In an interview with NTV, Maraga stated that he will only align with those who reflect the frustrations and aspirations of ordinary citizens.
“I will work with people who have the same views that I share and those of Kenyans. Kenyans are tired, they are fed up,” Maraga said, calling for a national reset grounded in constitutionalism and accountability.
Maraga also confirmed his bid for the presidency, which he said will align with the aspirations of Kenya’s younger generation.
“Yes, I am the Gen Z presidential candidate. I have children, and many people have children. We must mentor young people, so they take over from us,” he said.
