Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has emerged as the most preferred female running mate for the 2027 General Election, according to a new Politrack Africa survey that measured public support for the possibility of Kenya electing its first female deputy president.
The poll found that Waiguru led the field with 36 percent support among respondents who expressed a preference on the matter.
She was followed by People’s Liberation Party leader Martha Karua at 27 percent, while Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga placed third with 15 percent.
