He has made milestones in combating terrorism. He has put his attention on access to justice for people living with HIV who were stigmatized at their places of work, victims of torture, extrajudicial executions and enforced disappearances.
His achievements include offering pro bono legal assistance to the indigent and advocacy for fostering cordial relations between suspected terrorists and the administrators of both Kamiti Maximum Prison and Shimo la Tewa Prison.
He has also participated in human rights activities such as free legal aid politics under the Legal Resources Foundation.

Chacha Mwita ruled in the impeachment case of Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. In his ruling, he declinedto issue orders to halt the impeachment motion.
Gachagua had filed 26 cases to stop his impeachment majorly citing that it was politically motivated.
However, Justice Chacha Mwita, stated that he upholds the doctrine of separation of powers. All the arms of government are mandated to perform their different roles separately.
