On a separate incident, authorities in Kesses Sub-County, Uasin Gishu, arrested a man for illegally operating a police patrol base without authorization from the National Police Service (NPS).
The suspect, identified as Collins Leitich, alias Chepkulei, was, on Sunday, March 9, accused of setting up a fake security post at Cherus Centre, where he posed as a law enforcement officer.
Further, reports indicated that the man went as far as painting the structure in official police colors to make it appear legitimate.
