Former KTN News anchor and award-winning journalist Brenda Kerubo has secured a new position at the US-based TV station, Bloomberg.
Kerubo made the announcement on her official LinkedIn page, stating that she will be taking on the role of a Desk Producer at Bloomberg Television.
“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as a Desk Producer at Bloomberg Television, covering Europe’s financial markets, companies, and economics news,” she wrote.
In her new role, she will be tasked with covering Europe’s financial markets, companies, and economic news.
Brenda Kerubo Career
Prior to her new role, Kerubo worked as a Communication consultant at the World Bank from September 2022 to September 2023.
Brenda Kerubo worked as a Multimedia Financial Journalist at KTN News, and Standard Group, from January 2019 to July 2022, serving in the role for 3 years and 7 months.
She was a prominent business anchor for the morning show Business Café and the weekly leadership program Captains of Industry.

In addition to anchoring, she contributed as a reporter at large, focusing on major financial news stories making headlines.
Between January 2019 and 2022, Kerubo worked as a Global Moderator on a freelance basis where she facilitated high-profile events and discussions.
Her notable moderation engagements include the USAID Kenya Investment Mechanism Learning Event in 2022, the EU Youth Entrepreneurs in Green Business forum in 2021, and the Facebook #2Sawa Event in 2020
Kerubo Working at CGTN and Mediamax
From October 2016 to October 2018, she worked as a Broadcast Financial News Reporter and Producer at Mediamax Network Limited in Nairobi, Kenya.
Over her two-year tenure, she collaborated closely with producers, editors, and videographers to develop, produce, and broadcast comprehensive financial news content.

She began her broadcast career as a business writer at CGTN Africa covering China-Africa relations and Chinese conferences in Beijing and Nairobi such as the 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party.
From September 2011 to September 2016, Brenda Kerubo worked as a Broadcast Business Writer at CGTN Africa in Nairobi County, Kenya. During her five-year tenure, she specialized in covering key aspects of business reporting across the African continent.
Her role involved writing and reporting on markets, corporate finance, and daily business developments, providing in-depth analysis and insights into economic trends.
Brenda Kerubo is also a long-form feature storyteller in financial investigation, tourism, innovation, and technology.

Education Background
The journalist is a graduate of the European Union’s Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Programme in Journalism, Media, and Globalisation at Aarhus University, Denmark, and City, University of London.
She also holds a Certificate in IMF Economics Reporting (2022) and was a Financial Journalism Fellow through the Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa Executive Training (2017).
Kerubo first pursued a bachelor’s degree in business administration (Accounting) from Kenya Methodist University.
The former KTN anchor has interviewed top global leaders such as the President of the European Council Charles Michel, and French President Emmanuel Macron, among others.
