The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has announced a mass recruitment exercise in Roysambu, Nairobi County. In a statement dated March 4, 2025, Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua urged qualified Kenyans to participate in the recruitment event.

“Following the commitment made by H.E. President Dr. William Ruto to enhance labor mobility and overseas opportunities under the #KaziMajuu initiative for our youth, a recruitment exercise will be held at Jesus Winner Ministry,” the statement read.

According to CS Mutua, the recruitment will take place at Jesus Winner Ministry on Wednesday, March 5, and Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Job Opportunities Available Announced by CS Mutua

The recruitment drive offers a wide range of job opportunities in various countries, including Germany, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Dubai, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Some of the job categories listed by the Labour CS include:

  1. Nurses – Applicants must be degree holders.
  2. Drivers– Open to both male and female applicants, with a preference for those with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) experience.
  3. Delivery Riders – Positions available in the UAE.
  4. Hospitality Workers– Including waiters, waitresses, stewards, and chefs.
  5. Construction Workers – Positions available for masons, carpenters, scaffolders, electricians, plumbers, and construction helpers.
  6. Seafarers and Cruise Ship Jobs

Additionally, CS Mutua mentioned that more job categories will be available during the recruitment exercise at Jesus Winner Ministry.

Successful candidates will receive several benefits, including:

  • Expedited Passport Processing – Passports will be issued within one or two days.
  • Financial Assistance– The government will offer funding options for those unable to afford processing fees, visas, medical exams, and air tickets.
  • Selected positions will include accommodation, insurance, transport, and overtime pay.

Further, CS Mutua emphasized that the initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to providing meaningful employment for Kenyans while ensuring fair working conditions abroad.

President Ruto Directs Labor CS to Organize Job Recruitment Exercise

The announcement of the mass recruitment comes a day after President William Ruto, while fellowshipping at Jesus Winner Ministry on March 2, directed Labour CS Alfred Mutua to organize job opportunities abroad for unemployed youth.

“I am very proud of this church.

“I am very proud of this church. You have recognized that one of the biggest challenges we face is that many of our young people have completed school but remain unemployed. Employment must be planned for.

I appreciate the bishop for taking up this challenge and deciding that, as a church, you will help with training, ensuring they learn new languages to participate in the government’s labour export program. And because you are helping me in organizing employment for these young people, on Wednesday, Alfred Mutua and his team will come here.”
