Pastor Addresses Gunshots and Chaos at the Church
The resident pastor at the church took to the podium to address the congregants and reassure them of calm.
He said that security at the premises of PCEA Kasarani had been beefed up and the believers had nothing to worry about.
Further, he noted that every politician had the right to worship whenever they wanted and whatever time they wanted, defending Gachagua’s presence at the church.
The former deputy was making an appearance a day after President William Ruto concluded his tour of the Mount Kenya region.
Additionally, the Sunday church visit came ahead of a highly anticipated TV interview on Monday, April 7, during which Gachagua is expected to address his supporters and weigh in on the shifting political landscape following the President’s tour in the region.

Wamuchomba and Other Gachagua Allies Investigated
Earlier on April 4, Manyatta MP Gitonga Mukunji, a close ally of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, was arrested and released as Ruto visited Embu County.
Mukunji was among residents waiting for the President on April 4 when plain-clothed officers reportedly seized him in Embu town. Witnesses detailed that the MP was bundled into a vehicle and taken to an undisclosed location.
However, speaking to Nation, Mukunji said he was arrested in the CBD by six officers without explanation.
On the other hand, Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba was on Saturday, April 5, summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) through a telephone call.
The lawmaker alleged that the summons was because of defiance by Githunguri residents.
“The CCIO Kiambu has, through a telephone, called and summoned me because the great people of Githunguri refused to be lured to fake promises and projects that never materialized,” Wamuchomba said.
The exact reason for the summons has not been disclosed by the authorities, but preliminary reports indicate that they are related to her alleged involvement in anti-Ruto chants on Friday evening in her constituency.
