The Kenya School of Law (KSL) in partnership with the Higher Education Loans Board – HELB have re-opened tuition fee loan applications for students sitting for the Advocate Training Program.
This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden of tuition fees for eligible ATP students.
According to HELB, prospective applicants must be pursuing the Advocate Training Program at KSL to qualify for the scheme.
Nevertheless, the fund is required to cater for the tuition fee of ATP students only.
HELB Application Procedure
Further, applicants interested in the tuition loan should visit www.hef.co.ke to access the Student Portal.
On the site, they can register, create an account, and ensure that their personal mobile number aligns with their name and national ID number.
Once logged in, applicants must fill out their profile and upload the required documents.
In addition, after completing your profile, select the 2024-2025 Kenya School of Law Tuition Loan Application.

Important Information
To note, an online assessment on financial literacy and the purpose of higher education financing is mandatory.
Applicants are supposed to fill in the Loan Application form within the portal.
Upon successful submission, there is no need to physically submit any documentation; as the application process is entirely paperless.
Further, successful applicants will track their application’s processing status via the student portal and in case of any guidelines, support is available for any queries or further assistance.

Deadline of Application
Also, HELB stated that the closing date for applications for the 2024-2025 Kenya School of Law Tuition Loan is January 8th, 2024.
For additional information, individuals are encouraged to reach out to the Chief Executive Officer of the Higher Education Loans Board.
Furthermore, applicants were asked to read, understand and follow the instructions provided at the beginning of the application process including reading and undertaking the HEF Financial Literacy Program.

The Program lasts 18 months; 12 months in-house and six months pupilage. Teaching in the Advocates Training Program is conducted on a clinical basis.
