John Allan Namu, the award-winning Investigative journalist has yet again made a significant stride in his career after he launched his autobiography.
In his memoirs, John-Allan shares his journey from childhood to the newsroom and to his current standing as one of Africa’s foremost journalists.
‘THE JOY IN THE STRUGGLE’ which was launched on Tuesday, February 14, “is a deeply and vulnerable personal account of one man’s journey to find joy and meaning in his own life, as he tells the important stories of others.”
In this memoir, John-Allan for the first time shares the trauma he endured while covering the stories of Kenyans, the struggle he’s undergone and the path to healing that stretched beyond a decade.

Maurice Otieno, the Executive Director of Baraza Media Lab says the memoir takes him back to all the experiences that shaped my world view. It was interesting to hear the why and what motivated him to do the stories.
