The Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua attended the same event at Sarit Center on October 12, 2024, as possible 2027 alignments are taking shape.
During the event, DP Gachagua was seen accompanied by his wife Pastor Dorcas. In a video seen by The Kenya Times, the two were seen interacting with Kenyans as they posed for selfies and took videos.
At the same time, they went on to buy a number of books at the centre.
On the other hand, Kalonzo was at the same event but was never spotted together with the Deputy President. Kalonzo was featured at the podium at the Mr. and Miss East Africa Body Building Final Contest.
A statement posted on his social media cited, “I am at Mr. and Miss East Africa Body Building Final Contest at Sarit Centre, Nairobi, and this is what Kenyans are saying in a collective voice: “Ruto Must Go”.”

Kalonzo Pledge Support for Gachagua
Kalonzo Musyoka in the past while speaking in a memorial during the Memorial Service of the Hillside Endarasha Academy Fire victims, affirmed Gachagua of his support. He pledged never to remain silent while a section of politicians plotted to remove him from office through impeachment.
In a video clip recorded during the event, Kalonzo while referring to Gachagua stated, “We have a nation to model together. I never like pretence, there is tension in this country. Political tension. When the moment comes, we will always be there for the people of Nyeri.”
Kalonzo who is also an Azimio principal called on Gachagua to stand firm on his decision even though there is a manifestation of disrespect from a sect of politicians.
Furthermore, Gachagua and the governor of Nyeri Mutahi Kahiga reassured him that the mountain does not forget.

2027 Political Alignments
The Energy Cabinet Secretary CS Opiyo Wandanyi recently declared that ODM will work with President William Ruto past 2027.
Wandanyi said this on October 10 in Kericho County during the planting tree exercise on Mazingira day. He assured the public that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is committed to supporting the Kenya Kwanza government beyond the 2017 elections.
“I am fully convicted that our political ties will remain strong beyond the coming 2027 elections. We have teamed up to work with President William Ruto and will remain faithful. We are part of the government and the government stands strong,” Wandanyi stated.
Further, the CS went on to emphasize, “It is our collective responsibility to protect the government so that it remains strong. Additionally, support President Ruto so that he continues to lead the country even after the coming elections.”
Moreover, the CS went on to affirm that though he was strongly in the opposition his decision to work with the government was attributed to the fact that the country is more important than any political party.
The CS alleged that Raila’s political support has embraced President Ruto therefore it will support him for another term.
