The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has published its 2025 list of approved aviation training organizations for aspiring pilots and aviation professionals in Kenya
The newly published list features 16 certified training institutions across various parts of Kenya, with the majority operating from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport.
Others are spread across locations like Malindi, Nanyuki, and the Coast, ensuring broader regional access to aspiring aviators.
KCAA is the body tasked with regulating and overseeing aviation safety, security and training aviation personnel.
Therefore, the listed institutions are authorized to offer a range of professional aviation courses, including Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Flight Operations Officer (FOO), Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence (AMEL), and Instructor Ratings (FIR), among others.

Listed Institutions by KCAA and the Courses They Offer
Among the top institutions listed is the East African School of Aviation, located on Old Airport Road, Nairobi. The school offers courses in Flight Operations Officer (FOO), Air Traffic Control (ATC), and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence (AMEL).
Kenya Airways’ own KQ Pride Centre, located at the airline’s headquarters, features in the list, offering training in FOO for those interested in joining or advancing in airline operations.
On the other hand, the Kenya School of Flying, with branches at Wilson Airport, Malindi, Ukunda, and Orly Airpark, is also listed. It offers a wide array of training options including Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL), Multi-Engine, and Instrument Rating (IR).
Moreover, Flight Training Centre, also based at Wilson Airport and Orly Airpark, provides training up to ATPL level, along with FIR, Multi-Engine, and IR.
Similarly, Ninety Nines Flying School offers courses at Wilson Airport and their coastal bases in Ukunda and Mombasa, making it convenient for students in the coastal region.

Other Schools on the List
Other Nairobi-based institutions such as Proactive Air Services, Kenya Aeronautical College Flying School, Nairobi Flight Training, and FliteStar Academy offer a mix of pilot and flight operations training, often including multi-engine and instrument rating courses.
However, organizations such as Aerosafe African Consultants, Think Aviation Training, and Global Quality and Safety Solutions Ltd focus on Flight Operations Officer (FOO) training only.
In Nanyuki, the Mount Kenya Flight School provides PPL and CPL training for students in the central region.
Institutions such as Capital Connect Aviation and Pegasus Flyers (EA), both based at Wilson Airport, offer PPL and CPL training.
The aviation industry in Kenya is experiencing steady growth because of increased regional air connectivity and demand for skilled professionals.
