The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has announced graduate trainee opportunities for qualified Kenyan citizens under Aeronautical Information Management.
In an advert on March 5, KCAA listed qualifications that interested candidates must meet for consideration.
“The Authority is seeking to recruit thirty (30) qualified Kenyan citizens as Graduate Trainees – Aeronautical Information Management,” the statement read in part.
In the notice KCAA stated that all applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in any aviation related discipline.

Furthermore, the degrees under consideration include bachelor’s in aviation management, Geography, Geo- graphical Information Systems (GIS), Survey and Electronic Engineering.
Others featured include bachelor’s in information technology (IT), Computer Science with bias in Database Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
In addition, one must have attained at least a mean grade of C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Also, an applicant is required to have at least a C+ in English Language, Physics or Physical Science, Geography and Mathematics.
In addition, the certificates should be from a recognized institution, and proficiency in computer applications.
Finally, the candidates will be required to take an aptitude test for Aeronautical Information Management and be aged between 18 and 28 years of age.

“The candidates will be required to: Pass an aptitude test for Aeronautical Information Management Be aged between 18 and 28 years,” KCAA Clarified.
How to Apply for Kenya Civil Aviation Authority Opportunities
Interested candidates are required to submit their application letters quoting the job reference number ANS/AIM/TRN/05/24 on the envelope.
The application letter should be accompanied by attached copies of certificates, testimonials, national identity card and a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Again, the CV should have contact details of three professional referees and their addresses.
All applications are expected to be received not later than 20 March 2024. The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority stated that it is an equal opportunity employer.
The authority also emphasized all parties to apply, including females and people with disabilities.
“Female candidates and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are encouraged to apply,” the authority indicated.

In reference to PWDs, KCAA advised them to attach a copy of a valid NCPWD membership certificate.
