The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has published the interview schedule for candidates shortlisted in the recruitment process initiated on December 5, 2023.
In a notice posted on Tuesday, January 23, the interviews for the shortlisted candidates will run from 7th to 21st February 2024 at the Prosecution Training Institute– Loresho and NSSF 19th Floor- Nairobi.
The recruitment drive attracted thousands of applicants, reflecting the soaring unemployment in the country.
33,272 applications were received for the 186 vacant positions across different carders and departments.
ODPP Shortlisted Candidates
Some of the notable positions with high application numbers were Clerical Officer II and Office Assistant III with 11,947 and 9,355 applications, respectively.
Only 150 applicants for Clerical Officer II and 155 for Office Assistant III were shortlisted.
Among other positions with huge number of applicants were the Personal Secretary I (3264), Administration Officer I (2199), Prosecution Counsel II (1503) Supply Chain Management officer II (1455) and Executive Secretary with 1,114 applications.
Other shortlisted posts were Senior assistant Director, HRM with 108 applicants, Assistant Director Information Communication and Technology, Senior Principal Prosecution counsel, Principal Prosecution Counsel and Assistant Director HRM.

Requirements During the Interviews
Shortlisted candidates are expected to be at the venue at least half an hour (30 minutes) before starting time of their respective interviews.
However, they are required to bring with them originals of the National Identity card, Academic and Professional Certificates and Transcripts.
Other originals required are letter of appointment to the current substantive post and the previous post and any supporting documents and testimonials.
Additionally, following the Employment (Amendment) Act of 2022, successful candidates will be required to provide Clearance Certificates from the following bodies before appointment: Law Society of Kenya – LSK, Higher Education Loans Board – HELB, Kenya Revenue Authority – KRA, Criminal Investigation Department – DCI, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission EACC, and any other relevant Professional bodies to which the candidate is a member.
