Peter Ng’eno has been appointed as the Director of Corporate Banking at KCB Bank Kenya, effective March 27, 2026, pending regulatory approval.
In a statement dated March 27, KCB stated that his appointment follows the departure of John Okulo, who was appointed by Sidian Bank as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
“Peter Kipkorir Ng’eno has been appointed the Director of Corporate Banking at KCB Bank Kenya, with effect from March 27, 2026. The appointment is subject to regulatory approval,” read part of the statement.
The board has added that, through his experience, Peter Ng’eno will oversee the growth and sustainability of KCB’s Corporate Banking business, leveraging his deep institutional knowledge and extensive experience across Kenya’s banking sector.
Peter Ng’eno Appointed Corporate Banking Director at KCB Bank Kenya
Peter Ng’eno has over 20 years of banking experience, including over 8 years in several key roles at the bank.
Prior to his appointment, he served as Executive Head of Client Coverage and Business Development, a role he has held since February 2022.

Peter Ng’eno also served as Head of Manufacturing, Acting Director of Corporate Banking, and Senior Relationship Manager for Corporate Banking, managing client portfolios and driving business growth.
Additionally, from October 2015 to September 2017, Peter Ng’eno served at Ecobank as Local Account Manager for large corporates.
From 2012 to 2015, he also served at Stanbic Bank as a Senior Relationship Manager and a Relationship Manager in commercial banking.
Further, Peter spent over three years at Standard Chartered Bank from May 2009 to September 2012, managing SME portfolios and earning recognition for exemplary relationship management.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Nairobi.
Sidian Bank Names John Okulo as CEO Following His Exit from KCB
Elsewhere, Sidian Bank has appointed John Okulo as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective May 1, 2026.
In a notice on March 26, Sidian Bank stated that the appointment of John Okulo is subject to regulatory approval.
The Board expressed confidence that his leadership will guide the bank into its next phase of growth and transformation.

John Okulo currently serves as Director of Corporate Banking at KCB Kenya, a position he has held since June 2023.
Before joining KCB, he was the Group Director for Corporate Banking at NCBA Bank Kenya Plc from October 2019 to June 2023, where he played a central role in shaping the bank’s corporate banking strategy and regional growth.
Earlier, at Commercial Bank of Africa, Okulo served as Chief Commercial Officer between September 2018 and September 2019.
Prior to that, he was the Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at Stanbic Bank Uganda Limited from July 2008 to June 2011, overseeing corporate and investment banking functions.
His career also includes leadership roles at Barclays Bank, Citibank, and Standard Chartered Bank.
