The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced attachment opportunities for qualified and interested university students across the country.
In a statement on Monday, November 11, KPLC stated that it is seeking continuing students, interested in gaining hands-on work experience.
Additionally, the candidates will be able to develop key employability skills through the three-month-long attachment.
“In line with the Government’s commitment to support youth empowerment, Kenya Power is offering exciting attachment opportunities to continuing students, to gain hands-on work experience and develop key employability skills,” the statement read in part.

Who Can Apply for the Kenya Power Attachments?
The industrial attachment opportunities are available in various Departments for a maximum period of three (3) months beginning January to March 2025
According to the announcement, the company will accept students pursuing technical or non-technical Bachelor’s Degrees.
Additionally, the opportunities are open for students pursuing technical and non-technical Diplomas.
Finally, students pursuing a certificate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Power Option), Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, Building and Civil Engineering and Plumbing, are also encouraged to apply.

Requirements for the Attachment Opportunities
Candidates interested in the opportunities should be available full-time for the full duration of the program.

Also, KPLC has indicated that applicants must be continuing students who are pursuing a Degree, Diploma, or Craft Certificate in the above-stated fields only, from an accredited learning Institution.
They should have a valid introduction letter from the respective learning Institution.
Moreover, those applying for the undergraduate Attachment should use Reference No. KP1/ATTGRAD/25/1 while Diploma Attachment applications should be referenced to No. KP1/ATTDIP/25/1.
The Craft Certificate applications should use Reference No.KP1/ATTCERT/25/1.
