The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced disposal of motor vehicles, generators, obsolete furniture, and ICT equipment.
In a notice on Tuesday, November 21, KRA said the goods will be sold through public auction in conjunction with Phillips International Auctioneers.
To begin with, KRA said viewing of the motor vehicles will start at 11: 00a.m on Friday, December 8 at the Nairobi Supplies Branch Likoni Road opposite National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA).
“Interested bidders must pay a refundable deposit as Ksh.50,000 per each motor vehicle and Ksh.10,000 for other goods in form of a banker’s cheque in favor of Phillips International Auctioneers to obtain bidding number,” said KRA.
Vehicles on Sale
Additionally, the vehicles to be sold include Chevrolet Captiva S/Wagon manufactured in 2012 with registration number KCA 768Z.
Others are Toyota Saloon manufactured in 2006 and Nissan Caravan Van manufactured in 2012.
Further, KRA will sell Volkswagen registration number KBU 777T and another Toyota Hiace Van manufactured in 2005.
Also, the taxman announced the sale of an Olympian gep 150 genset generator of serial number E7811/001 KVA Engine.
“The declared purchases must deposit 25% of purchase price by close of business on the auction day into the bank account of KRA to be provided during auction and the balance be paid within seven days from the auction date into the same bank account, failure to which the money received including the deposit will be forfeited,” directed the authority.
KRA will also auction a Toyota Hilux Pickup Saloon car at their offices at Forodha House in Kisumu.
The vehicle will be sold alongside two generators on Wednesday, January 31.
In addition, the Authority will auction a Toyota vehicle and three generators on Wednesday, February 21 at the Kenya School of Revenue Administration in Mombasa.

KRA ICT Equipment
Besides, the Authority announced the auction of eighteen different ICT equipment.
The ICT equipment will be viewed at the Times Tower Basement 2 on Friday, December 8.
Some of the equipment include 163 system units, 114 monitors, 7 UPS and 8 laptops.
In addition, KRA announced the auction of 40 printers, 18 scanners, 3 projectors and 20 speakers.
Other ICT items include, mouse (150), keyboards (150), cisco routers (5), 3 com switches (1), IMB tape drivers (2) and data voice logger hub (1).
On the same day, KRA will dispose office equipment, assorted furniture and fittings, miscellaneous items and olde tyres.
“We shall adhere to the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act 2015 Section 53 (6) which states that all procurement and asset disposal planning shall reserve minimum of 30% of the budgetary allocation for the enterprise owned by women, youth, persons with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups,” said KRA.

January Sales
Furthermore, other ICT items will be disposed of on Tuesday, January 23 at KRA offices Eldoret Kiptagch Houses.
This equipment includes various models of system units (19), monitors (6) , printers (1), keyboards (6) and Ip phone (2).
Also, KRA will sell other items including obsolete office furniture, miscellaneous items, old tyres and assorted vehicle parts on the same date and at the same venue.
“Sale shall be subject to reasonable reserve prices,” added the Authority.
Besides, KRA will auction more ICT equipment at Forodha House Kisumu on January 31.
Items placed for sell include CPU (6), monitors (16), printers (4), keyboards (50) and IP Phone (1).
Additional 72 system units, 70 monitors, 30 mouse and 60 keyboards will be sold on February 14 at KRA offices in Nyeri Town.
