Malala claims his son and brother were abducted
Earlier on Monday, September 23, Malala issued a statement alleging that his son and brother-in-law were abducted at gunpoint.
The former Senator claimed they were interrogated about his whereabouts after the abductors failed to find him and his wife at home.
According to Malala, his son and brother-in-law were dumped along Thika Road after hours of interrogation.
“My son and 19-year-old brother-in-law were abducted at gunpoint and tortured for six hours to disclose my whereabouts or that of my wife, and to show them the way to my residence. When they couldn’t find us at home, they dumped them on Thika Road. I have since picked them up — they are safe but traumatized,” Malala said.
UDA MP dismisses Malala’s claims
However, Kitutu Chache North Member of Parliament (MP) and the party treasurer Japheth Nyakundi dismissed Malala’s claims.
MP Nyakundi highlighted that the party was only seeking to repossess the cars assigned to Malala which were being driven by the two family members at the time
While speaking to Citizen Digital, the legislator said that the party had to contact police officers to reclaim their vehicles since Malala was hesitant to hand them over.
