Miguna has called for peace between the Kenyan activists Morara Kibaso and Mercy Tarus on September 18, 2024.
In his statement, Miguna wrote, ” I have spoken to Mercy Tarus. I have also sent a message to Morra Kebaso and asked to speak with him.”
“The issues that Mercy has raised about my comrade Morara’s unauthorized appropriation of her organization’s name or slogan are legitimate,” Miguna added.
In his statement, Miguna went on to advise Morara to find and use another name or slogan for whatever he is doing or intends to do.
Additionally, he admonished the duo to avoid unnecessary distractions and that they cannot afford to allow any kind of distraction because they will bar them from the major aim which is Ruto Must Go.
Moreover, he recalled that their individual and collective focus with all the organized mafia should remain key to propel them forward.
Tarus and Morara Woes
The two who a few days earlier seemed to be in one accord have recently been in woes. Both were making use of the slogan “Kenya Ni Home” in their posts. The issues around the slogan came up after Morara posted a statement that indicated the foundation shaking the country to which Mercy responded positively.
Things took a different trajectory when Morara hinted at changing the slogan explaining that it was already in use by a different group.

Moreover, both Morara and Mercy claimed ownership of the slogan which attributed to the exchange of words in their socials. The issue has raised eyebrows among the Kenyan population regarding who to support. In light of these issues, Miguna has called upon them to resolve their issues so that it does not negatively affect the movement.
Mercy Tarus: Story and Impact
Mercy Tarus is a Kabarak University graduate who has gained attention and popularity in Kenya in the recent past.
Her popularity flamed after confronting Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii, his Deputy John Barorot, and Senator Mandago over the controversial Usian Gishu education airlift program that was intended to aid students from the county to study abroad. Unfortunately, the program ended up causing financial losses for many families, including her.
