Activist Morara Kebaso has revealed the goons allegedly involved in his attack that happened at Bomas on October 4, during the public participation exercise.
At the same time, he has mentioned a few of the politicians who are allegedly involved in the attack.
In an interview with Spice FM, Kebaso cited, “The public pointed at me shouting, ‘Give Morara the mic’. Suddenly, some people, goons to be particular, came from behind the dais,” he elaborated.
He alleged that plans for his attack had been made much earlier noting that at the time of his attack, he was raising his hand, seeking the opportunity to air his views.
“The public demanded that I should speak; however, it was not the wish of the Master of Ceremony that I speak,” he recounted.
In addition, he highlighted that his expectation when going for public participation is that every person’s voice counts and that nobody is left out.
Assessing the events that transpired at Bomas, he argued that probably he was not welcome to give his views on the event.
Morara admitted he missed several warning signs. He shared that after announcing on social media his intent to attend the public participation and his stance on impeaching President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, he was blocked at Bomas.
This happened because some people were uncomfortable with his position.

Morara’s Woes
The activist further revealed what transpired before he was finally allowed into Bomas. “By the time I got to Bomas entrance, I was blocked by the police and prevented from going in.
A huge crowd of the members of the public gathered around, and I was eventually allowed to get in,” Morara explained.
Moreover, he added that after getting in, the GSU prevented the members of the public that accompanied him, thus he headed to the Bomas door where he was stopped from getting in.
Further, he stated that he opted for another second and third door unsuccessfully until he came back to the first door where he spoke to a high-ranking officer who eventually allowed him to enter with only one person.
He alleged that probably it was from that point that his security was compromised.

Morara Position
During the interview, Morara affirmed to be the pioneer of the message that both the president and the deputy should be impeached.
“My team and I were asking ourselves, that the DP’s impeachment is distracting the people’s attention from the main issues.
It is diverting Kenyans’ attention from the Social Healthcare Insurance Fund (SHIF), the University Funding Model, issues of corruption, and many others,” Morara stated.
Furthermore, he said that his team realized that they could not avoid the conversation since it was an issue of national importance, and one that affects the entire public.
According to the activist, his main issue is tribalism since he feels that Gachagua is being pursued under tribal lines.
“It has become a Mount Kenya issue and an attack on the deputy president to gain sympathy from the Mount Kenya region from those who supported them. To clear the noise and the mocking, the best solution is to impeach both of them,” he affirmed.
