Nation Media Group on Friday, October 13 announced freelance jobs across six counties, including Mombasa and Nairobi.
In an advert declaring the vacancies, the media giant noted that it is looking for innovative candidates with good advertising creativity niche to take up positions as freelance business solutions executives.
“Ideal candidates will be responsible for selling innovative advertising solutions and creative projects while providing effective customer service and ensuring value for Nation Media Group advertisers,” stated the notice.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Candidates are expected to achieve set annual and monthly targets for multimedia advertising sales within the scheduled time.
Further be able to develop and implement plans for increasing sales volumes and market share for Nation Media Group Commercial Department.
According to NMG, qualified candidates must exhibit excellent research skills with a good knowledge in qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
“Qualified candidates will research available business opportunities and identify new leads and new opportunities for advertising by generating and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data,” read the statement.
Subsequently, candidates will prospect, identify, and qualify clients for new business opportunities.
According to Nation this is to be achieved by providing advertising solutions and providing creative solutions.
Similarly, qualified candidates will provide presentations that are unique to each client in a bid to Increase advertising opportunities for Print, Digital, TV and Radio products translating to increased revenues:
Likewise in a bid to maintain and grow business contacts for existing and potential clients at the company, qualified candidates will perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing and potential customers to meet their needs.
The Media Company further noted that it is looking for candidates that will demonstrate a value preposition for its clients, further adding they are interested in providing excellent customer service.
“Ensure client focused selling by providing excellent customer service to existing clients to both retain and grow the accounts,” read the statement.
Further candidates will be responsible for maintaining interactions with potential new businesses.
Additionally, qualified applicants will further report to Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

Similarly, interested candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in business studies or related field from a recognized university.
Notably candidates should have At least two (2) years’ experience preferably in media sales similarly, a certification in digital marketing and advertising is an added advantage.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate strength in client service and continuous growth with excellent oral written & presentation skills tailored to the Nation Media Group audience.
