Biography
Pastor Ezekiel is a renowned famous Kenyan Preacher. He is a very influential figure who has drawn thousands of followers. He heads a magnificent church, namely New Life Church, based in Mombasa. He commands a huge congregation of worshipers who usually attend his church services thus making him a famous figure on social media platforms.
In November 2022, it is rumoured that Ezekiel pulled a huge crowd approximately to be above 50,000 individuals at Kasarani Stadium for a Crusade. The event was also attended by the then-Second Lady Pastor Dorcas Rigathi thus, bolstering his reputation.
Pastor Ezekiel Early Life & Education
Born in the 1970s pastor Ezekiel is likely to be in his 50s as of 2024. He was brought up in Risinga Island in Homabay County. He emanated from a poor background and was raised by his mother and grandfather.
Notably, Odero commenced his education at the Ngodhe Island Primary School in Rusinga. Due to the status of his family, he occasionally engaged in fishing at night. Unfortunately, the overnight finishing activity negatively affected his performance where he managed to score 210 marks in KCPE exams out of 700.
Moreover, his grandfather, Daniel Odero, a former Kenya Wildlife Employee relocated with him to Seme in Kisumu where he enrolled him in Yeye Primary School. He re-sat his KCPE exams at the school and excelled, earning him admission into Miwani High School in Chemelil.
After the four-year circle of studies, Ezekiel sat his KCSE exams and scored a C plain. Later, he joined Mombasa Polytechnic, currently the Technical University of Mombasa and pursued a course in Chemical Processing Technology. Following the financial problems that were facing him, he was forced to drop out in his second year of study.
Furthermore, Odero was raised in a strict Christian Background. Earlier, he attended the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where he was a choir member and learned to play the keyboard as well.

Career
It is said that Pastor Ezekiel involved himself in construction work after moving to Mombasa. While there, he got involved with Maximum Miracle Church, led by Bishop Pius Muiru.
At the Maximum Miracle Church, he became a choir leader and played the keyboard as well. Later, he was promoted to be the praise and worship teacher. Consequently, he became Pastor Muiru’s spiritual child.
While in Mombasa, Ezekiel Odero crossed paths with Pastor Sarah, who became his future wife, who was seeking partners to help her establish a church. Sharing a common vision, the two collaborated to launch New Life Church in Shanzu.
Over time, his church grew and attracted a massive number of followers in the region. However, after 15 years, Pastor Odero moved his Church to Mavueni in Kilifi County on a 65-acre land he purchased and built a mega-church that is said to hold a capacity of 45,000 people.
On the same piece of land, the preacher has constructed various facilities such as a four-storey flat meant to accommodate church employees and their family members. Additionally, he is constructing a school, cottages for church guests, a hospital, and a restaurant among others.

Pastor Ezekiel Odero is married to Pastor Sarah Odero who is also his partner in his church ministry. They met in Mombasa as Ezekiel worked as a mason, his relationship blossomed over time and later Odero proposed to marriage.
Although his family disputed the union, he defied their claims that Pastor Sarah was not learned and pressed on with the marriage insisting that he was majorly concerned with her beauty and the love he had for her.
The couple have been married for 15 years and have three children. One adopted child- after the death of his brother’s wife while giving birth and two are their biological kids.

The circulated pictures of his house on social media, inclusive of other buildings in his estate are approximated to be worth 1 billion. The famous preachers’ fortune is said to be from the sale of merchandise such as holy water, anointing oil and handkerchiefs.
