Trisha Khalid, whose real name is Fosi Mpole Hamis, is a Kenyan actress, model, social media personality, and entrepreneur from Likoni, Mombasa.
Born on December 31, 1994, she rose to prominence through television acting, modeling, and content creation, becoming known for her roles in Kovu and Becky.
The actress is the youngest of six children and was brought up by her mother following the death of her father when she was still young.
Khalid attended Star of the Sea Primary and Secondary School in Mombasa before pursuing studies in cabin crew services.
Although she trained for a career in aviation, she never ended up working as cabin crew. Instead, she took up different jobs as she sought financial stability and career opportunities.
Speaking about her early life during an interview, Khalid revealed that her first job was as a car hire agent before she later joined Modern Coast.
“I studied cabin crew. My first job was as a car hire agent at a company in Mombasa. After that, I became a bus conductor with Modern Coast. The job earned me KSh15,000 per month. I used to travel between Mombasa and Nairobi all the time. I barely had time for my family or even for myself.”
At the time, her work involved frequent trips between Mombasa and Nairobi, leaving little room for a social life or family time.
Before entering the entertainment industry, Khalid worked as a bus conductor with Modern Coast, one of Kenya’s largest transport companies.
Khalid’s journey into entertainment started with modeling and social media.

Khalid’s acting breakthrough came when she landed the role of Ruby in the Maisha Magic East drama series Kovu.
The success of the role earned her a nomination for Best Lead Actress at the 2020 Kalasha Awards, a significant achievement for an actress still relatively new to mainstream television.
After Kovu, Trisha Khalid secured another role in Citizen TV’s drama series Becky, where she played the character Trisha.
IMDb lists Becky, Kovu, and Bwana Chairman among the productions she is known for.

The engagement attracted attention on social media, with fans and fellow celebrities congratulating the actress on the milestone.
Kevin Woods, who previously worked as a truck driver in the United States, had members of his family present as he proposed to Trisha during the special occasion.

Despite the public celebration of her achievements, Trisha Khalid has also spoken openly about painful moments in her personal life.
During an emotional interview with former radio presenter and YouTuber Alex Mwakideu, she revealed that she had suffered a pregnancy loss at four months.
“Last year was a very traumatic year for me and for my partner.”
The actress became emotional as she described the lasting impact of the experience, explaining that the pain had not disappeared despite the passage of time.
“When people tell you that time heals, it’s a lie. It’s been over a year, and I feel like I’m still living with that pain.”
