A photo of nominated Member of Parliament Sabina Chege and businessman Jamal Rohosafi caught the attention of Kenyans after a Quran was spotted in one of the frames.
One of the photos, where Sabina leaned over to touch the chin of the businessman was reposted by lawyer and advocate Ahmednassir Abdulahi made a new revelation.
Ahmednassir indicated that Sabina was sitting on top of the holy book, sharing the image with the caption, “Literally sitting on the Quran. Maybe he wanted it as a witness…”
The Quran was placed on the top shelf of the desk where the nominated member of parliament was sitting.
Originally, these images were shared by the businessman after a meeting with Sabina on January 26, with the caption “It was nice catching up mwesh.”

Reactions From Kenyans About the Quran
The presence of the Quran elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans. Some blaming Sabina for sitting on the holy book, while others putting the blame on the businessman for placing the Quran in the wrong position.
“Wrong place to place the Qur’an. The problem is not Ms. Sabina but our Muslim brother in the picture,” Ndolo stated on X.
Although many argued that it was disrespect to the Muslim religion, others noted that Sabina may not have known that the Quran was right next to her.
Besides, other users on X simply stated that the book was in the lower cabinet and therefore the MP did nothing wrong.

“We can all see she isn’t sitting on it though. It’s on the lower cabinet,” Master Sagini on X stated.
Jamal Rohosafi weight loss
Earlier in September 2023, Jamal announced on social media that he had undergone a hair transplant procedure.
Further, a month later, he announced that he would undergo a weight-loss surgery to try and lose 20 kilograms in four months.
Since then, he has been updating his online followers on his weight loss journey, sharing images and videos of his progress and new experience.
