TV47 journalist and reporter Flora Limukii has announced her exit from cape media company, a year after joining the station.
The journalist whose star is meteorically rising made the announcement live on air after hosting her last breakfast show on Wednesday, December 20.
Limukii took the chance bid farewell to her colleagues and fans as she expressed her gratitude to the company.
Without divulging too much, she said she had decided to leave TV47 to pursue other interest.

“After 1 year and close to 5 months at TV47, today marks my last day on air, time has come to explore another venture. I’m grateful to the management, colleagues and friends whom i have forged a great relationship with over time,” said Limukii.
In addition, the TV presenter also acknowledged the online support she received which she states has helped her grow her brand.

“Many thanks to my online fans as well and your contribution in growing my online brand visibility.
Today, I leave with my head high and a way better person professionally,” said Limukii.
Likewise, Flora Limukii one of the most vibrant Generation-Z reporters has showcased her interests in political reporting and has since explored the niche in various newsrooms.

Worth noting, in 2021 Flora was poached by Switch Media formerly Switch TV as a political reporter and producer.
However, months later, the station would halt its on-air broadcast during its digital transition, hence a move that left her and many other journalists out of work.

Consequently, TV47 poached her in August 2022 in the run up to the 2022 elections as the media house gave big boys in the industry a run for their money.
Meanwhile in 2019, she interned at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) and was stationed at the Business Desk. She also had a short stint at Opera News and Tuko before moving to mainstream media.
Flora graduated with a Journalism and Media Studies degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Nairobi (UoN) during the 70th graduation ceremony in December 2023.
Cape Media
Cape Media, owned by billionaire Simon Gicharu, the founder of Mt Kenya University, also launched Radio 47 as it sought to cement its broadcast footprints.
Gichachu went on a hiring spree, raiding almost every media house in the country and plucking talent.
Some of the big names that joined Cape Media include Willis Raburu, Fred Indimuli, George Maringa, Grace Kuria, Alex Mwakideu, Hassan Mwana wa Ali, Fred Arocho, and Eva Mwalili.
