A Nairobi City County Government Liaison Officer Osman Khalif Abdi, has resurfaced after his abduction by gunmen on Friday, November 10
Osman, who spoke to lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi on Wednesday, November 22, during a visit to his office narrated the horrific ordeal revealing that he was brutally tortured for eight days.
Further, the former South C Member of County Assembly (MCA), stated the individuals who abducted him outside Sarit Centre, were police officers.
Also, the senior counsel stated that the policemen were under the instruction of a powerful politician.
“Osman visited me in my law chambers today and narrated his heart-wrenching ordeal. They held him for 8 days and tortured him brutally.
“Apparently, this powerful politician has special policemen from his tribe under his command and are independent of the normal police command structure. This is a very worrying trend,” Abdullahi stated.

DCI on the Kidnapping of Sakaja’s Aid
Earlier on Monday, November 20, the Director of Criminal Investigations Mohamed Amin stated that the investigations into the disappearance of Osman was ongoing.
Amin on Monday sent Peter Njeru to represent him in court as earlier directed by Justice Chacha Mwita over the alleged abduction of Osman.
He told Justice Chacha Mwita in court that on November 10, a report of Osman’s alleged abduction was made by his at Parklands police station.
Additionally, the court was informed that she made an OB entry and reported that her missing husband was bungled into a Toyota pickup which was silver in color.

Details of the Abduction
Speaking to the press on Sunday, November 12, the family of the government employee pleaded for help asking the relevant authorities to take up the matter with the seriousness it deserved.
Osman’s brother narrated that Sakaja’s aide was abducted by unknown men and forced into a double cabin vehicle while in the company of his wife.
Additionally, the family lawyer Wanyanga Mark detailed that Osman was abducted by five assailants who also harassed and manhandled the wife, who watched helplessly as her husband was taken away.
“His car was at Parklands Police Station, but the booking was made very late, and we were not given any reason why,” the lawyer said
“The owner of that motor vehicle was taken by five assailants who were armed to the teeth. In the process of abducting Osman, they manhandled and harassed the Wife,” he stated.
