How to Book a Jambojet Flight: A Step-by-Step Guide

Boarding a flight is an adventure filled with excitement, whether you’re dreaming of your first flight or have many under your belt. People board planes for countless reasons: some for the sheer thrill of travel, others out of necessity for emergencies or important meetings. In Kenya, one of the most popular airline choices for domestic travel is Jambojet.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to book your next Jambojet flight:

  1. Visit the Jambojet Website

Navigate to www.jambojet.com. The booking widget is located on the top menu bar of the website, allowing you to book directly as you browse.

     2. Select Your Trip Details:

Use the booking widget to enter your departure location, destination, and travel dates. For a one-way trip, skip the return date.

Decide if you want a one-way, round trip, or multi-city flight.

Enter your departure and destination cities in the “From” and “To” fields.

Choose your travel dates. For one-way trips, skip the return date. For round trips, select both outbound and return dates.

   3. Select Passengers: Choose the number of passengers traveling

After entering your travel details, specify the number of passengers, including adults, children, and infants, who are traveling.

  4. Search for Flights:

Select your currency of preference (Kenyan Shillings or US Dollars) and click ‘Search’ to check flight availability.

You’ll see all available fares for your chosen dates. If you want to look at flights on different dates, use the calendar view.

  5. Select Your Flight:

After searching for flights, choose your preferred flight from the list of available options by clicking on the button next to the fare.

Check the fare breakdown and accept the terms and conditions.

6. Enter Passenger Details:

Input the personal information for each passenger, including names, which must match official ID documents, birthdays, and contact details. If you’re a JamboJet Rewards member, enter your member number.

7.  Select Baggage Options:

Choose your baggage options. Each passenger is allowed one piece of carry-on luggage for free, but additional checked baggage will incur extra costs.

8. Payment:

Select your method of payment. Jambojet accepts various methods including Visa, MasterCard, M-Pesa, Airtel Money, and bank transfers.

Complete the transaction. You must pay within one hour of booking, or the booking will be canceled.

9. Confirmation:

After payment, you will receive your flight itinerary and booking reference number via email.

This serves as your booking confirmation since Jambojet is a ticketless airline.

10. Check-In:

You can check in online from 30 hours up to 2 hours before your flight departure to save time at the airport. Alternatively, you can check in at the airport counter, but remember, check-in closes 40 minutes before departure.

For purposes of security checks, you must be at the airport at least an hour before departure time.

It is highly recommended to book flights in advance during weekends, public holidays, and festive seasons.

Flight Cancellation

Refund Policy: Jambojet does not provide refunds for canceled flights. Instead, passengers will receive a credit note that can be used for future travel within 12 months from the cancellation date.

Credit Transfer: If you do not wish to travel, you can nominate someone else to use the credit by emailing reservations@jambojet.com (mailto:reservations@jambojet.com).

Flight Rescheduling

  • Flexible Ticket Changes: Jambojet has implemented flexible ticket change policies, especially due to the COVID-19 pandemic. You can change your flight dates without incurring extra charges, as long as the changes are made within the validity period of your ticket.
  • Validity Period: All credits from canceled bookings are valid for travel within 12 months from the cancellation date.
