David Kipsang Keter of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is leading the Emurua Dikirr MP by-election with 15,205 votes, representing 62.5% of the total valid votes cast.

Vincent Kibet Rotich of the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) follows with 8,602 votes, representing 35.4%.

Festus Korir Kirop of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is leading the Elgeyo/Marakwet MCA race with 4,172 votes, representing 82.3% of the total votes cast. Shadrack Kosgei Chelang’a of The New Democrats follows with 681 votes, translating to 13.4%.

Voting Process During Emurua Dikirr Parliamentary By-Election
According to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), polling stations opened at 6.00 am and closed at 5.00 pm.

The commission noted that any time lost during the exercise would be compensated at the close of voting, and all voters in the queue by 5.00 pm would still be allowed to vote.
During the voting exercise, peace and calm prevailed across the polling stations, with residents turning out to vote.
Security officers were also deployed at various polling centers to maintain order as voters lined up to cast their votes.
The electoral body had warned voters against taking photos or recording videos inside polling booths, saying the act is an election offence punishable by law.
IEBC noted that photography and video recording are strictly prohibited inside polling booths under the Election Offenses Act.
The commission added that the offense attracts a fine of up to KSh1 million, a jail term not exceeding three years, or both.
