The Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) is a Kenyan political party led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The party was launched on June 3, 2025, at the Kasarani Indoor Arena in Nairobi by the party officials.
As part of grassroots engagement and the party’s expansion, Kenyans who have attained the voting age of 18 must not be active members of another political party at the time of registration.
To join the party, one must have a valid Identification card or passport and be willing to abide by the Constitution of the Party.
DCP Membership Registration Process
DCP allows its members to be registered in two ways;
Registration through the party website
Registration through USSD code.

A. Register Online or Through Party Website

Go to DCP’s official membership/registration page on the party’s website.

Complete the online membership form with your personal details, including your ID number, contact information, and the area you live in, such as your Ward.

Submit and await confirmation by email or SMS.
B. Register Via USSD (through ORPP system)
Kenyan law requires political party membership to be recorded through the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP)

*Dial 509# on your phone.

Register if this is your first time to get your ORPP PIN.

Use the PIN and choose “Membership”, then choose “Join a Party”.

Enter party name (DCP) and party code 829.

Provide your county, constituency, and ward codes, and confirm.
