Makini Schools, a member of the ADvTECH Group, has unveiled a customized online learning platform through ADvLEARN.
In a statement on February 1, Makini Schools said ADvLEARN provides a personalized learning experience by enabling teachers to identify and address knowledge gaps in key subjects using AI-generated data insights.
The adaptive Learning technology platform is scheduled to be fully operational across all Makini Schools by May 2024.
It has already been successfully introduced to all 36 campuses within the ADvTECH schools’ divisions, benefiting over 13,500 students.

The platform creates a secure online environment that complements traditional classroom learning, offering personalized assignments for real-time progress monitoring by teachers.
Additionally, it equips teachers with precise insights into each student’s strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to tailor their teaching to individual needs and address specific learning gaps.

According to data analysis by ADvTECH, students regularly engaging with the online learning platform experience significant improvements in subject grades, with progress rates ranging between 15% and 29%.
This indicates its potential effectiveness in leveraging technology for educational enhancement.
Makini Schools Receive Funds for ADvLEARN
To support this initiative, an investment of Ksh.150 million has been allocated for infrastructure upgrades across all Makini Schools in Kenya.
Consecutively, this includes expanding Wi-Fi accessibility, installing state-of-the-art projectors and sound bars, and providing Makini teachers with the latest devices and training to enhance their teaching capabilities.
Makini Schools Regional Managing Director, Horace Mpanza expressed excitement about the collaboration.
“ADvTECH is committed to delivering digital innovation in education that will enhance the quality of academics offering in all our schools and equip students with the tools they need to thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of modern learning,” stated Mpanza.
Upon completing the infrastructure upgrade, Makini teachers will undergo training facilitated by ADvTECH’s Central Academic Team, led by Academic Director Ms. Desiree Hugo.
The rollout of the online learning is scheduled to commence in May 2024.
The institution’s Academic Director has conveyed confidence in the transformative potential of the platform.
